Business Model
Guided by its large size of the farm and its rural location, the sponsors have opted to go for modern, fully integrated beekeeping that leverages on the farm's geographical advantage. At the centre of the business model is the modern beekeeping farm that will have the complete spectrum of a modern beekeeping operation, complete with all harvesting, processing, storage, marketing and distribution facilities. It will also have smaller but separate areas for agriculture and horticulture, as well as forestry and seedlings plantations. This will make us one of the largest inclusive agribusiness operations in East and Central Africa.
The Sponsors realise that the all-inclusive business model is not just a matter of CSR ("corporate social responsibility"), it is actually a key link in our business, a sin qua non to its the commercial success. We regard the community that surrounds us as part and parcel of the business that forms a chain that links the ingredients that go to make a successful business
